Rooftop Garden Design

The landscape architect created the perfect outdoor living space for this rooftop garden.

The brief from the client for this rooftop garden was to create a space for entertaining all year round. For privacy from the adjoining neighbours a new timber screen was erected. Adjacent to this a built in garden bed was created where Lilly Pillies were planted as a softer screening alternative. This raised garden bed also acts as a timber bench seat.

A custom made built in BBQ was designed for the outdoor kitchen. The horizontal timber slats give character to the structure while blending in with the timber screen. Large limestone pavers were selected for durability and reduced heat as the area is exposed to the sun and elements.

A half decagon shaped bench seat surrounds the balcony garden. A dragon tree is the feature for this space surrounded with a variety of ground cover plants.
