Outdoor Room Design

Location: Mosman, Lower North Shore

Project: Landscape Design

The client was faced with a cluttered and unusable deck which they wanted to turn into an outdoor room to entertain. An important consideration was to link the inside of the house to the new outdoor room and create an ‘open feeling’. The approach was to continue the existing timber flooring out and into the outdoor. The outdoor room created is then broken up into three entertaining spaces; one area for cooking, another for dining and the third for relaxing and sitting. The outdoor kitchen contains a BBQ, fridge, sink and storage which means the owner can devote more time with guests.

Adjacent to the outdoor room is the swimming pool designed by our landscape architect. This was positioned so it could be viewed and accessed from the outdoor room. The swimming pool design boasts a feature wall at the deep end with a sheer decent water feature. This feature wall not only finishes off the end of the pool but it also cleverly hides the pool filter equipment located behind.
