Mosman Open Entertaining Area

Location: Mosman, Lower North Shore

Project: Landscape Design

The client was faced with a cluttered and unusable deck which they wanted to transform into a versatile entertaining area. An important consideration was to link the inside of the house to the new alfresco space and create an open, seamless flow. The approach was to continue the existing timber flooring out into the exterior. The alfresco area was then divided into three zones: one for cooking, another for dining, and a third for relaxing and sitting. The outdoor kitchen includes a BBQ, fridge, sink, and storage, allowing the owner to spend more time with guests.

Adjacent to the alfresco space is the swimming pool designed by our landscape architect. It was positioned to be easily viewed and accessed from the entertaining area. The swimming pool design features a striking wall at the deep end with a sheer descent water feature. This wall not only provides a beautiful focal point but also cleverly conceals the pool filtration equipment located behind it.
