Situated minutes from the beach, this entrance garden has been designed not only to look stunning, but to cope with the frontline coastal conditions.
Being a narrow block, the front entrance is located to the side of the residence so the design leads visitors to the front door. Rendered raised garden beds with concrete pavers enhanced the colour and textures of the plants while complimenting the architecture of the house. Bamboo was used to provide privacy with a funky screen at the entrance to provide a splash of colour. Subtle lighting creates an intimate area that is sophisticated and yet maintains a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.
The sandstone front fence and use of concrete render provides a mix of earthy ingredients which fit into the entrance landscape. Plants selected were suitable to coastal conditions but also with low maintenance and drought tolerant features incorporated where possible.
